My fifth volume of poetry is titled “Hidden Love“, and it features 100 poems from different stages in my life.
Here is a review from Amazon:
This is the fifth book in the poetry book series by Steven R. Drennon. Once you read one of his books you will want to read them all. The poems are so romantic and captivating. Like all his books the poems are divided into four sections:
Love and Compassion
Lost and Lonely
Unrequited and Unrealized
The Spice of Love
In the first section there are poems about love and also one I really liked called “Together” where the poet writes about a storm brewing outside while he is indoors safe and warm with his true love on a couch in front of a fireplace. It is such a lovely poem that speaks of comfort and safety.
I also loved “Late Autumn Rain” that speaks of walking barefoot in the rain. It reminded me of my childhood when I rarely wore shoes. I loved the poems about beaches, moonlight, consuming love, vulnerable moments and unique stories.
Steve R. Drennon speaks very truthfully about his feelings and how he would give his soul for everlasting love. He also recognizes how the world is more beautiful when you are in love. In his mind, the world is almost ugly when you are not in love.
Some of the desires in the fourth book come true in the fifth. This is why it is good to read these poems in the right order. I love that this poet has made his poems so accessible and inexpensive. It is a true joy to read all his work.

WHAT IS LOVE?
MY STARSHINE
TOGETHER
THOUGH I KNOW
A LOVE SO STRONG
MY VOW TO YOU
SMILE
ONCE AGAIN
A RAINBOW IN YOUR SMILE
YOUR EYES
I HAVE KNOWN LOVE
THE MORNING IS FAR AWAY
THE NIGHTS I SPEND WITH YOU
RADIO LOVE AFFAIR
THE DARKNESS OF NIGHT
QUESTIONS
TAKE YOUR TIME TONIGHT
LOVE I CAN’T RESIST
PAINTING IN MY MIND
HERE WITHIN MY ARMS
I CAN’T STOP THE RAIN
‘TIL I MET YOU
EVEN IN DREAMS
BLUE
UGLY WORLD
WORDS OF DEPARTURE
ONLY TIME
ARE YOU?
THEY ASK ABOUT YOU
NOTHING IS THE SAME
MY BROKEN HEART
BLUE EYES
BABE
THE FATE FOR FOOLS
TEARDROPS FILL MY EYES
WILL WE EVER?
MY LOVE, GOODBYE
THE OTHER DAY
A NEW STAR
I CAN’T FORGET YOU
I WONDER WHO
FORGIVE ME
IT WOULDN’T MATTER
MEMORIES
MY MEMORIES
YOU’LL LOVE ME AGAIN
THE GOLDEN WEDDING BAND
I CAN’T REMEMBER
LONELY NIGHT
A MEMORY I’D RATHER FORGET
NOT FOR ME
BARRIERS
MY LIFE
DREAMING ONCE AGAIN
THIS TIME
DREAMS OF LOVING YOU
THE ISLAND
A DREAM OF ONE NIGHT
IMAGE
WAITING ON THE BUS
THE WAY IT SHOULD BE
YOU WROTE TO ME OF LOVE
YOU’RE AVOIDING ME
YOU NEVER SEEM TO NOTICE
WHEN SHE SMILES
HIDDEN LOVE
ALONE AND CRYING
SHE CRIES ALONE AT NIGHT
LET ME HOLD YOU
I’M GIVING UP ALL MY DREAMS
YOUR PRESENCE
ENTRAPPED
I JUST WONDERED
SOMEDAY
EASIER TO STAY
IS IT YOU?
I’M STILL CALLING
PAINT ME A SKY
LONELY STREET
NO SINGLE WORD
I NEED TO KNOW
NOT ENOUGH TIME
AT TIMES I FEAR
THE HARDEST THING
ALONE
THOUGHTS OF YESTERDAY
LONELY LADY
UNCLE SNAPS
SHE CAME
LATE AUTUMN RAIN
KATHERINE
RELAXING
ALL THE YOUNG MEN
WRITER’S BLOCK
AN EMPTY PAGE
FOUR LITTLE WORDS
WATCH FOR ICE ON BRIDGETTE
OKLAHOMA BOP
SWINGING WITH THE BAND
