I LAUGH

I hear a joke,
And I laugh.
I hear gentle laughter,
So I laugh also.
I see a young girl smiling,
And I smile with her.
I have lost you,
Yet I still laugh,
And you ask me why.
You see, if I don’t laugh,
I’ll surely cry.
