FRIDAY NIGHT CRUISE

It’s Friday night, and the streets are hot.
The evening is cold, but the women are not.
You’re out cruising the streets, just looking around,
But wherever you go, there’s nothing to be found.

So you’re sitting alone, just enjoying the night
When along comes a girl, and she’s quite a sight.
You’re looking at her, then you start to stare,
But the girl’s really cool, you know she doesn’t care.

It’s a Friday night cruise.
Ain’t got nothing to lose,
Except maybe something that you’re
Better off without anyway.
Come on a Friday night cruise.
Girl, it’s time to choose.
Stay with me tonight until tomorrow
Brings a brand new day.

You start to think of ways to get her in the sack.
You better hurry now, there’s nothing holding you back.
You’ve got to get to her, boy, no matter how.
You’re going to lose your chance if you don’t act now!

So you walk up to her, trying to act real cool,
Because you don’t want her thinking that you’re just a fool.
Then you ask for her name, she says “Cindy Lou”,
And you whisper in her ear, “I’m in love with you.”

She looks in your eyes, then begins to smile,
So you say, “Come along, ride with me for a while.”
Then the next thing you know, she’s riding in your car,
Sitting close by your side, you’re hoping she’ll go far.
