EACH LONELY TEAR

The sun is hidden, clouds abound.
The rain falls madly, such a sound,
As thunder rolls across the skies,
And tears begin to fill my eyes.

The ground absorbs the falling rain;
In silence I absorb the pain
Of wakening from fitful sleep
To find you gone. Alone I weep.

The rain begins another day,
And as I’m sitting here I pray
That soon I’ll find you with me here
To kiss away each lonely tear.
