As you lay there with him
Do I still cross your mind?
If I could climb inside your thoughts,
I wonder what I’d find.
Do you think of the past
The way I often do
As she is laying here with me
And I’m thinking of you?
I see you now and then
But when your eyes meet mine,
I feel my tears, and I see yours,
But we both say we’re fine.
We know where we went wrong.
We feel it deep inside,
And that is where our love is now,
Entrapped by foolish pride.
