My love is in a valley
So fertile and so green,
Yet to reach her I must cross over
The widest river I’ve ever seen.
There are also majestic mountains
Watching the valley from above.
These also I must cross over
To reach the one I love.
These barriers which stand between us
Men before have overcome.
For some it may have been simple,
Perhaps impossible for some.
As for me, I shall try harder than most
For you have the key to my heart,
And although there are barriers between us
There’s no way they can keep us apart.
