BASKETBALL FRIDAY NIGHT

It was a basketball Friday night
At the local sports bar.
I was sitting there, watching the Rockets win a game
When I caught her in my sight,
And I watched her from afar.
Then I decided I’d go and ask that girl her name.

She looked me over once or twice,
And I was ready for the fall,
But she smiled at me and said, “I’m glad you came.”
Well, she was looking really nice
As we were watching basketball,
Then she turned and asked if I’d like to play a game.

She said, “How about some one on one,
Later on tonight?
I know a place where we can be alone.”
She said, “How about some one on one,
Played by candlelight?
And you can leave your basketball at home!”
