A GOOD LOVE SONG

I saw her sitting there in the corner,
And I just couldn’t take any more.
Everybody else was dancing,
I had to get her out on the floor.

I asked her if she’d like to dance.
She said, “Sure, as long as it’s slow.
Slow dancing seems to last much longer,
And I am in no hurry to go.”

Does anybody know a good love song?
One that’s soft and sweet and lasts real long.
We could dance until the morning comes
To a good love song.
Does anybody know a melody
That can make her fall in love with me?
I’d love to hold her close as both dance
To a sweet melody.

She followed me onto the dance floor,
And then I held her close and tight.
The music started playing so softly,
And we just disappeared into the night.

I feel so lucky just to be with her,
Yet why she danced with me, I don’t know,
But even when the music played faster,
The two of us were still dancing slow.
