MINE ALONE

The smile you see upon my face
Is something I now wear
Each time I stop to think of you,
Because I know you care.

The words of gratitude I write
Are written just for you,
To show you that I recognize
The many things you do.

Each time that I need comforting,
I’ll call you on the phone.
The tears that fall when you’re not there
Are mine, and mine alone.
