RED LIGHT

I was heading on down to the local bar,
Sitting at a stop light in my car.
I started looking around, and what did I see?
There was a pretty girl in the car next to me.
I can recall the way she looked, and I always will.
She had long blonde hair and she was dressed to kill.

Yes, she was looking real good. She was looking real nice.
So I looked at her once, then I looked at her twice.
I didn’t mean to, but I started to stare.
I thought well what if she notices, but I didn’t care.
Then she turned towards me and she winked her eye,
And when she smiled at me it nearly made me cry.

I said wait a minute red light don’t turn green.
She’s the prettiest girl that I’ve ever seen.
If you change to green, she’ll just drive away,
So you can stay red for the rest of this day.

Then I rolled my window down, and she did the same.
She even blushed just a little when I asked her name.
Then I smiled and I had to ask her if she might
Like to come and dance with me for the rest of the night.
She said, “That sounds like something I would like to do.
Why don’t you lead the way, and I’ll follow you!”
