Years ago they fell in love,
So sure that love would be enough
To see them through the times
When life seemed to be so tough,
But even then they couldn’t know
That this love could last so long,
But even after all this time
They find their love is going strong.
Yes even after all this time
Together they still find
Their joy in one another
And lasting peace of mind,
And now after all this time
There comes a love like yours and mine.
If we can be in love like they are,
We can stand the test of time.
Children came along the way,
And yet they still had time to share,
And when hard times came along,
They still had love to spare.
No matter how much extra burden
They had to face, they still came through.
They truly set a fine example
For folks in love, like me and you.
