Looking for some meaning in this life.
Trying to find the answers in my mind.
Never sure just where to turn
Whenever times get hard.
I feel as if I’m sinking down.
Looking for the truth in all the lies.
Trying to tell myself that there’s still hope.
Never wanting to give up
Although at times I should,
But still the world keeps turning ’round.
Where will this all end?
Does anybody care?
I try to do the best I can,
But it’s never quite enough.
Where do I go from here?
Does it matter anyhow?
After all, I’m just a simple man,
But I’m nothing without love.
Looking for someone to share this life.
Trying to believe she’s really there.
Never mind the girls I’ve known,
They never seem to last,
But love is waiting to be found.
