Why can’t we stay the way we are?
Why can’t we just be lovers?
You know I love you girl,
But I don’t want to marry you.
Why can’t we just go on with life,
Just wanting one another?
Why must we end this dream
By exchanging those wedding vows?
Why can’t things be the same again?
I know how much you want me,
But I’m just not prepared
To share my life with anyone.
