I’M SORRY

I’m sorry that I broke your heart.
It was so cruel of me.
I never should have gone away.
Without you here with me
I am so empty and alone.
I’m full of misery.

I’m sorry that I wasn’t true.
I should have loved you more.
I was afraid to fall in love;
I’d never loved before.

I’m sorry I walked out on you
And left you all alone.
I thought about you day and night.
I should have tried to phone.
I’m sorry things worked out this way,
‘Cause now our love is gone.

I’m sorry.
