Staring through the crowd.
Trying to see your face.
Wondering if I gave you
The proper time and place.
I just climbed off that airplane.
I’ve finally come home,
And now I see your lovely face,
Smiling as you come.
Tears of joy are in your eyes.
There’s laughter in your words.
You run to me with arms spread wide
Like the wings of a graceful bird.
I reach down and I kiss you.
Then I lift you off your feet.
I’m holding you within my arms.
This reunion is so sweet.
