At different times throughout our lives
We all may need a friend
To help comfort the sorrow when
A broken heart won’t mend.
If you should find yourself in need,
Your friends will come around.
They’ll help you get back on your feet
When life has knocked you down.
Though life may not be kind to you,
Your friends will always care.
Though others turn their backs on you,
Your friends will still be there.
