We’ve loved each other for so long
And shared one lasting dream:
To sail across the ocean wide,
And brave the bold Gulf Stream.
We’d drift along majestic waves
With no pre-destined course,
And if the ocean should grow rough,
Our love would brave its force.
Last winter we had made our plans
In summer to begin,
But then the angels came in spring.
Our plans are dream again.
And yet, I know that someday soon
Our dreams may still come true.
In heaven we may still set sail
Together, me and you.
A cloud will be our sailboat and
The sky will be our sea.
The wind will be our current as
You sail away with me.
