FLAMING LEAVES

The winter days slowly approach
As summer fades away.
The flaming leaves fall off the trees
With nothing more to say.

The red and yellow autumn leaves
Are seemingly ablaze.
They form a carpet on the ground
And warm the winter days.

The barren trees are desolate.
They face the cold alone.
The autumn months are over and
The flaming leaves are gone.
