If a man who is black,
Finds a woman who’s
As white as the sunshine,
And he decides that he loves her,
And she loves him,
Why must we turn our backs
When we see them walking together?
Is it because of the color of his skin?
If the two should find love,
Should it matter that
Their skin tones are different?
Why can’t they love and live
Their lives together in peace?
I guess the answer’s above,
Where the truth of love is apparent,
And each of us is free to love whomever we please.
You know that love is color-blind,
So why aren’t we?
Why can’t we accept in our minds
That all men are free?
