VIVID MEMORIES

Since you’ve been gone I’ve had to spend
My lonely days and nights
With vivid memories of love
That didn’t turn out right.

The emptiness which I have felt
Without you here with me
Has haunted me each sleepless night
With vivid memories.

Perhaps someday another love
Will put my mind at ease.
Then I won’t have to feel the pain
Of vivid memories.
