SWEET WINE

Come, give your love to only me.
Let laughter fill the room.
I need your bright and smiling face
To chase away the gloom.

Sweet wine erases memories
Too bitter to recall.
Together let us sip the wine
And watch the raindrops fall.

I’ll warm your heart with whispered words
Of longing and desire.
Together shall we pass the night
Beside the glowing fire.
