HAND IN HAND

Together, hand in hand, we stroll
Along a winding stream.
We cross a bridge which leads into
A meadow, soft and green.

We open up our basket and
We lay our picnic out,
And then we sit and wonder at
The beauty all about.

I lay my head upon your lap.
Your smile is warm and bright.
You run your fingers through my hair,
And everything seems right.

The two of us begin to laugh
As it begins to rain,
Then hand in hand, we’re racing home
Together, once again.
