I see my life as a very long hall,
Very dark and mysterious,
Lined on each side by many doors,
And under each door shines
A faint glow of light.
As I proceed through my life,
I open the doors, one by one,
To learn the secrets that lie behind,
And ahead, for each door
Is like a day of my life,
Waiting to be opened.
I leave each door ajar,
So that I may return
And learn from what has
Fallen behind me.
