For lack of else to do,
I’ll sit and write to you.
The grudges which you hold
Inside your heart so cold
May prove to be too much
For one with your soft touch.
I pray that deep within
You’ll learn to smile again,
And let your softness show
As bitter feelings go.
I hope that you may find
Comfort and peace of mind,
And that, before too long,
You’ll forgive me my wrongs.
