You’ve come to me with open arms
And love within your heart,
And yet a long relationship
Seems unlikely to start.
I know you’ve never asked for much,
Only for me to share
The love which you have shown for me,
But I can’t find it there.
I wish I could return to you
The love you’ve given me,
But I’m still unprepared for love
And longing to be free.
Perhaps someday I’ll change my mind
And choose to take a wife.
