ON SUNDAY MORNING

I’m walking through the park
On Sunday morning.
I see the children at play,
Then I remember that day
When without warning,
You turned and walked away.
I can’t believe that you left
Me feeling lonely.
You left me feeling so blue.
You thought I lied when I said
I loved you only.
You didn’t think it was true.

I wish that I could convince you
About all the love that I feel,
‘Cause I’ve been lonely without you,
And the tears that I’m crying are real,
Yes they’re real.

I’m sitting in the park.
The sun is falling.
It’s falling like my tears.
I’m all alone and my
Memory’s recalling
All of those wonderful years.
We used to share all our dreams
In nights of passion.
We never thought it was wrong,
And yet it seems that true love
Is not in fashion.
I guess that’s why you have gone.
