I’ve spent much time recently
Trying to find answers for questions
Which few people ever ask.
My idleness and boredom
Have caused me to wonder about
Many things which would normally
Never cross my mind. Perhaps
The lonely emptiness I’ve felt
Since you have gone is the reason
For my sudden interest in reading
So many unimportant stories
Concerning, life, love, and failure.
It may also be possible that these
Various titles are simply a tool
I’ve used to keep my mind occupied,
So that it won’t dwell on you.
