CHECKMATE!

They stare into each other’s eyes
Knowing this is do or die.
These two opponents, face to face,
Will soon decide the master race.

They both are kings, rulers of men,
And have come to fight each other again.
They send their men onto the field
To fight and die, but never yield.

The battle rages, full of scorn,
Until one army, scarred and torn,
Allows the foe to infiltrate.
The palace guards arrive too late,
For now the king is in checkmate!
