WHEN SHE SMILES

She frowns so deeply,
Seemingly upset by life
And all the problems it
Presents from day to day.
Her mood is ever constant,
Seldom changing at all,
And her presence is often
Disturbing and depressing.
Her unhappiness is obvious,
And her frustration is
Truly quite apparent.
Therefore I’ll try in earnest
To make her smile just once,
For when she smiles
I know I’ll share her joy.
