Turn the lights down low
And come closer to me as
The evening starts to grow
Into the early morning hours.
Just relax here in my arms
And let the darkness surround us
As we share these quiet moments.
The moon shines brightly
Through the window, and the stars
Dance playfully at it’s side.
Sleep is a distant thought,
For our minds are consumed
With only these moments we share.
No words are spoken, or needed,
For our thoughts are the same,
And words would only disrupt
The peaceful serenity
Which surrounds us here
In the early morning hours.
