Perhaps I’m not the richest man
That you have ever known,
And I may not impress you with
The objects I do own.
I’m sure some men may bring you gifts
Which cost much more than mine,
And others may provide you with
Their presents rare and fine.
My gift for you is poetry
To show my heart is true.
The love expressed within my lines
Are written just for you.
