LET ME HELP

You seem to be so troubled,
Yet there’s nothing I can do.
What is this thing that bothers you?
Oh how I wish I knew!

Your mind is enclosed
With the darkness of thought
As I watch you silently.

Please take this hand I offer you,
And I will try to help you through.
No matter what you say or do,
Remember, please, that I love you.

I offer all the help and hope
That any man can give.
So let me help you, if I can,
To smile at life again.
