Many times I’ve wondered
How my life might have been
If I had never met you.
It’s true that we’re apart now,
And I know we’ll probably
Never be together again,
But the times when we were
Together were always special.
Perhaps if I had realized then
That I would miss you now,
I might never have left.
I left on a sudden impulse
Without even saying goodbye,
And I truly regret that,
For now I can only recall
The memories of the few times
We were together alone.
I suppose if we had never met,
My life would have continued,
But what I would have missed!
