UNTIL THE NIGHT ARRIVES

Your softness seems so unreal
As I hold you closely,
And I feel your warmth beside me.
Your hair is laced across my pillow
And your sweet perfume lingers
Lightly on the sheets of the bed.
Thoughts of the night make me smile
As I recall the tender love
The two of us shared last night.
I kiss you softly on the lips
And watch you begin to awake.
I brush my leg against your thigh
As my hand rests upon your breast
And the morning sun begins to rise,
Informing us that we must part
Until the night arrives again.
