It’s a beautiful day ’cause it’s snowing.
The north wind is steadily blowing.
The temperature’s dropping
And people are stopping
To watch as the horses pull sleighs down the street.
The snowflakes keep steadily falling
As all the young children start calling
To come build a snowman
As quickly as you can
With charcoal for eyes and an old hat and scarf.
Then you sit in the house by the fire
With someone you love and desire.
You look in her eyes
With a bit of surprise
As she drops some snow down the front of your shirt.
Then you laugh and you smile at her knowing
That outside your door it’s still snowing.
You’re holding her tight,
And all things seem right,
And it’s simply because it is snowing.
