If you should look back
At the times we once shared,
I hope that you’ll remember
The laughter and happiness
We found in each other’s arms.
Please don’t forget the times
We sat together in the quiet,
Empty solitude of evening
Without speaking at all.
Just being together was all
That either of us needed.
Remember the warm afternoons
And the walks in the parks
And the flowers we picked together,
But most of all, please,
Remember that I loved you.
